Meet Paulette Chaffee
PAULETTE CHAFFEE has been actively involved in public education for more than three decades. Now, she’s running for a seat on the North Orange County Community College District’s (NOCCCD) Board to expand access to higher education locally and serve as a responsive and effective advocate for the district’s students.
Paulette has worked as both a public school teacher and a speech therapist. She is a member of the O.C. Children’s Partnership. As a mother of two, Paulette has also been a leader with the Troy Support Organization. She is a member of the Beechwood Elementary School Parent Teacher Student Associaction (PTSA) as well as Maple School PTA.


Paulette currently serves as a member of the NOCCCD’s Citizen’s Oversight Committee for Bond Measure J. She is a member of the OC Committee on School District Organization. She also raises scholarship funds with the Friends of Fullerton College Foundation, and is a sponsor with the Fullerton College and Cypress College Study Abroad Scholarship program.
Awards and recognitions given to Paulette for her work with young people include the Woman of the Year Award from the North Orange County YWCA, the Above and Beyond Award by the Fullerton School District, the Woman of Distinction Award by Assemblymember Sharon Quirk-Silva, the Radiant Award by Radiant Futures (formerly WTLC), and the Maple Elementary Shining Star Award for Outstanding Volunteer Work.
Paulette holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Redlands in Communicative Disorders, as well as a California lifetime teaching credential. She also graduated from law school and is an active member of the California State Bar.
